Audrey Hepburn

On the eve before Audrey passed away, she read a favorite poem to her grandchildren entitled "Time tested Beauty Tips" by Sam Levenson. It's one of my favorites too. So I decided to post it.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed and redeemed...
Never throw out anybody. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm.
As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands.
One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

Bob Dylan says...

"Ah but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now."

Paul McCartney says...

"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."

Y al final, el amor que recibes es igual al amor que haces ;)

Realize this...

You CAN be yourself and STILL work on yourself at the same time!

As hard as it might be, Try to....

  • keep quiet when someone else is speaking.
  • wait your turn.
  • Share.
  • Don't talk with your mouth full.
  • Respect your elders.
  • Don't be a nag.
  • Stop whining.
  • Say you're sorry.
  • Look at people when they're talking to you.
  • Don't run with sharp objects.
  • Keep your voice down.
  • Be nice.
  • Say thank you.
  • Clean up your own messes.
  • Sit up straight.

Dating truths...

Dating truths I learned...

1.Chivalry is not dead -gentlemen still exist. If you haven't come across any, you're probably looking in all the wrong places. There are still guys who still believe they should be gentlemen but at the same token the woman should make sure to be a lady.

2.You've got to give props when props are due- When he opens the door for you, pulls out your chair etc. you must be appreciative and say thank you. Especially if you're the type to complain that chivalry is dead.

3.It's better when you take it offline. Facebook, Twitter and Myspace are a no go. Why have all your business across a facebook page? Wouldn't you prefer hearing eachother's voice on the good ol' telephone? It means more that you guys took the time out to call eachother and converse rather than some online nonsense.

Mae West says...

"A dame that knows the ropes isn't likely to get tied up."
